The German machinery company operates in over 100 countries.
The company, which holds a leading position in the food production portioning system sector, generated record sales of €1.1 billion ($1.2B) last year.
Its modular systems for grinding, mixing, portioning, linking, separating, dosing, forming, co-extrusion and product handling manufacture pet food alongside other meat and alternative protein products, baked goods, fish, deli food, dough and dairy products.
The company’s Filling & Portioning division, which is headquartered in Biberach an der Riss (Germany) and sprawls across over 100 countries, generated €340 million ($372.5M) in revenue in 2022. Other locations include Zittau and Reutlingen in Germany, Amersfoort in the Netherlands, and Hluk in the Czech Republic.

Handtmann was established in 1873 as an artisan brass foundry, and the official anniversary ceremony will take place on 15 and 16 September 2023.
