Quest for answers
In your daily work as pet professional, you may struggle to find the right knowledge and expertise to overcome day-to-day challenges. You can turn to experts or companies to help you respond to these challenges. They can help with answering your questions, such as what to put on the product label of products intended for the U.S. or Europe, how to overcome export problems or who to call or e-mail.
As consumers, we have learned to just google our questions, and we are immediately connected to a customer forum where smart users have already answered our questions. But what can professionals in our industry do? Wouldn’t it be great just to drop your questions to those in the industry who can provide the right based answer, based on their experience in the industry?
New application
PETS International launched the initiative to develop a dedicated questions and answers application for the global pet industry called ‘GlobalPETS Q&A’. It is freely available to all professionals and companies in the global pet industry on the PETS International website. Your questions are forwarded to those experts in the industry who are best qualified to answer them. Your rating of usefulness of the answers is shared within the community and reflects the level of expertise of the expert in question.
On the other hand, by answering questions of pet professionals, experts have a new channel for presenting their knowledge and sharing their experience. They receive acknowledgement from their peers and their answers reflect the professional environment in which they work. And let’s not forget that knowledge is the only asset that grows if you share it.
Official launch
GlobalPETS Q&A will be officially launched at Interzoo, but is ready for use right now. Just log in to the PETS International website and select Q&A. Take the Q&A tour for a good introduction and share your questions with the GlobalPETS Community. If you fill in your knowledge profile, you are set up for helping others in the industry with your knowledge and experience.
