“Svenska Färskfoder” Swedish Raw Food – A new Trade Association
Svenska Färskfoder is a newly established trade association for companies in Sweden that manufacture raw pet food for dogs and cats. The new association will produce guidelines on raw pet food, inform/introduce partners, within the field, of the benefits of raw pet food versus other commercial pet food.
The association will also assist Swedish animal owners with their choice amidst the abundant pet food products.
Raw pet food is the pet food product that best fits dogs and cats’ basic requirements for nutritional food – a base of raw meat that has not been heat-treated. Raw food is today the fastest growing segment in the pet food trade and last year Sweden manufactured 7,000 tons of raw pet food.
In Sweden, there are currently about 15 established approved factories for the production of raw pet food.
The following producers of raw pet food are members of the Swedish Raw Food Association:
Bravo, Fodax, Halla Petfood, Hugo & Celine, Klass, Mush, Nordic Sturko, Pondusfoder, Raw for Paw, Real Färskfoder, Sund Hundmat, Voff Science and Vom og Hundemat.
