Xiaomi to “deepen efforts” in expanding tech gadgets for pets

With many of its customers being pet parents, the Chinese electronics manufacturer looks to expand to other European markets.

The Beijing-based electronics manufacturer claims to have spent a lot of time compiling pet health data and producing smart pet devices in accordance with the high standards of the mother and baby industry.

Earlier in 2022, Xiaomi rolled out its smart pet food feeder across several markets in Asia and Europe, following a demand for these devices globally. The device is paired with the company’s home app, Mi Home, allowing pet parents to dispense pet meals at fixed times and in specific dosages. Pet owners can also monitor food levels in the device, which can store up to 1.8 kgs of food.

“By introducing a new range of smart pet products, we can better serve global pet users. In fact, we have a lot of expectations from our customers to make the safest and coolest products in the industry,” said the company.

Xiaomi hopes to expand its digital pet feeder to the European market with plans to introduce it in other markets later in 2023. GlobalPETS learned that the Chinese firm is also exploring and designing other smart devices targeted to pets.
