IKEA recently announced the introduction of its new range, UTSÃ DD, which caters to catsâ and dogsâ eating, sleeping, playing and hiding routines.
The collection includes 29 products, including colorful ceramic food bowls with double-sided anti-slip place mats, soft blanket and bed options, key- and bone-shaped toys for chewing, treat-hunting, and fetching, and a modern tent and a rattan-made house, which aim to upgrade pet living spaces.
âWe wanted to create a playful collection that considered the needs and wants of cats, dogs and their families at home since life at home is what we know best,â an IKEA spokesperson tells GlobalPETS.
The new products will be available in selected markets this April, and the company expects to expand to the rest of its locations between July and October of this year.
Answering pet parentsâ demands
All products have been formulated with input from veterinarians, pet product experts and users to create easy-to-clean, resistant, everyday-use pet supplies. They will be available in various colors, fabrics, sizes and materials to meet customersâ different requirements.
âOur goal was to develop a collection of products that our cats and dogs love and that their human parents can feel good about and truly enjoy having as part of their homes,â says IKEAâs Product Design Developer Julia Rosenberg. Â
