The local manufacturer received more than 1,000 help requests in 6 days and warns that logistics are very difficult at the moment.
More than half of the food requests were sent to pet care volunteers and shelters for dogs and cats in Kyiv, Irpen, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and Zhytomyr.
They also handed food to a military volunteer that was delivered to dogs working for the Ukrainian army at the checkpoints.
The initiative “Save Pets of Ukraine” is asking those going to Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odessa with cargo to help with bringing humanitarian aid for animals.
“There is no logistics for delivery of products to the eastern and southern regions of Ukraine. This issue needs to be resolved as soon as possible,” highlighted the company.
Kormotech is also lobbying representatives to amend the Law of Ukraine “On Humanitarian Aid” and grant the status of humanitarian aid to all goods for pets, from food to medicines, collars and leashes.
