56% of pet CBD products have inaccurate label claims

Out of 55 tested pet products, 31 products contained the wrong amount of CBD in an independent Leafreport study. Many also contained no THC despite being labeled as full-spectrum CBD.

Leafreport had the products tested at Canalysis Laboratories, a Las Vegas-based cannabis testing lab.

Key results of the study:

  • Most of the products (58%) had more CBD than advertised
  • Despite scoring well for tinctures, many companies received a poor score for their edible pet products
    • Note: Pet edibles and topicals are usually less accurate than oils and tinctures.
  • 22 of the tested products had no THC, despite companies claiming they contained full-spectrum CBD
  • 24 (44%) of the tested products had CBD levels within 10% of the label, which is required for an A rating
