AAFCO to host workshop on pet food labeling
The Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) will host its Pet Food Labeling Workshop Thursday, May 2, 2019 in Kansas City, Missouri. Participants will receive a two-week subscription to the Online Official Publication (OP) and a Pet Food Labeling Guide.
The workshop will review labeling requirements for specialty pet foods, specific product claims such as “Made In,” natural, organic and others, acceptable product claims, guaranteed analysis, nutritional adequacy and other key pet food labeling topics. Numerous industry experts will present during the workshop.
AAFCO invites management, regulatory, sales and marketing, quality assurance and control personnel, as well as nutritionists and product development staff, to attend and learn about pet food labeling compliance.
The one-day workshop is limited to 300 participants and will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Kansas City Marriott Downtown.
