Canina Pharm | Germany
The Canina brand has stood for top-quality pet products for more than 34 years.
Natural supplements and anti-vermin control
The Canina® portfolio consists of more than 150 products for a long and healthy animal life, in the segments of supplements, care and hygiene products and anti-vermin control products for all kinds of pets. The products are made with natural raw materials which are suitable for human consumption. Their aim is to be the ‘problem solver’ at all stages of an animal’s life, which is why all pet food products and supplements are developed to the highest nutritional standards by veterinarians.
Canina’s natural anti-vermin control products provide effective protection against vermin without harming the pets themselves. In response to the ever-growing bone and raw food (BARF) diet trend among dog and cat owners, they have also developed many special BARF products to avoid any nutritional deficits.
These natural products make it easy and convenient for consumers to follow a BARF regime for their pets.
From Germany to the world
Canina was founded in 1984 and it is still a family-owned company today. All products are produced at a single-site location (production, warehousing and administration) in Hamm, Germany. This gives them an optimum flexibility to satisfy customer needs.
The full range of their products is currently available through almost 3,000 pet shops, animal healing practices and dog grooming salons in Germany. The company’s products are also stocked by local retailers in more than 40 countries worldwide, including almost the whole of Europe as well as in markets such as Singapore, Japan, Angola, Egypt and Indonesia. Moreover, Canina makes products for many well-known domestic and foreign companies under their own labels.
As part of their continuous efforts to expand the network, Canina is always looking for new distributors in other countries.
Corporate social responsibility
They have been a recognised training organisation since 2001 and support the vocational education of young people in both administration and production-related activities. The company has also received an ‘ÖKOPROFIT’ ecological award for integrating environmental technology to reduce costs. In 2016 they installed their own solar plant to further reduce the carbon footprint of production activities, so they now generate more than 50% of their own energy requirement in an eco-friendly manner.
