Manna Pro expands into small and exotic animals with its largest acquisition ever

The US-based pet care and food manufacturer has invested in an animal wellness brand from Nebraska that offers food, supplements and treats for small exotic animals.

Manna Pro Products considers that the small animal pet category “continues a path of strong growth as pet ownership and engagement maintains momentum.”

Oxbow Animal Health has been operating for 30 years and offers premium whole foods, supplements, treats and supplies for rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters and chinchillas.

The company has 250 employees and turnover of $100m (€87.1M). Its products are present in more than 30 countries.

According to Manna Pro’s CEO, the products from Oxbow “complements our diverse pet portfolio of wholesome products for animals small to large and shares our commitment to quality, innovation and overall advancement of pet health.”

The operation takes place as part of the company’s commitment to increase its offering to meet the comprehensive needs of pet owners.

Manna Pro has been expanding its presence in the pet industry, with a focus on online players. In 2020, Manna Pro Products acquired family-owned online pet food brand Doggie Dailies and last September it bought e-commerce pet brand Dinovite.
