Ohio-headquarter pet insurer Nationwide has partnered with Petco to launch a customizable pet health insurance, allowing pet parents to curate their policies according to their individual budgets and pet needs.
The service, launched on Petco’s e-commerce platform, is available for dogs, cats and various avian and exotic animals like reptiles and rodents.
Pet parents will also have the option to customize their policies by adjusting reimbursement from 50% to 90% of all eligible veterinary expenses, opting for flexible annual deduction options or choosing unlimited coverage limits.
“This latest expansion of our partnership with Petco delivers integrated and affordable pet health and protection that will enable more pet parents to ‘say yes to the vet,’” comments Mariel Devesa, Head of Growth, Expansion & Development for Nationwide Pet Insurance.
Petco Chief Veterinarian Dr. Whitney Miller says that the “customizable, data-driven pet insurance and care solutions” will help families of all budgets and areas of the country “prioritize their pets’ immediate and long-term needs through [the company’s] 360-degree health and wellness ecosystem.”
