Nutresa buys Belina for $28 million
The Colombian company ventures into the pet food market with this acquisition of Belina.
In 2020, Belina had sales of $34 million (€28m) in three business lines: pets, farm and aquaculture. Around 70% of its sales come from its pet brands Balance, Superkan and Gourmet Mix-, and the distribution of Nutrisource®.
Grupo Nutresa’s sales in Central America amounted to $307 million (€253m) in 2020. So this acquisition adds another 10.2% of sales to their top line.
