Pet Valu taps Linda Drysdale as CFO
The Canadian pet retailer believes she is “uniquely positioned” to assist the company in its future development.
The Ontario-based pet retailer said it is “thrilled” to have Linda Drysdale in the role of chief financial officer (CFO).
“Linda possesses an in-depth understanding of our business and systems, and together with her deep experience, we believe she is uniquely positioned to help support our growth over the coming years,” said President and CEO Richard Maltsbarger.
Linda Drysdale has been a board member of the company since August 2021 and became chair of the audit committee in November 2021.
Finance experience
Drysdale has a wealth of experience in the finance industry. For more than 25 years, she has worked in financial planning and analysis, risk management, and audit functions.
Prior to joining Pet Valu in 2021, she served as CFO of Interac, a Canadian interbank network.
Earlier, she had an 11-year career at Canadian Tire Corporation and served as the CFO of Canadian Tire Bank from 2010 to 2016. She’s also held senior positions at accounting firms such as PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte.
Drysdale has a BA in Economics from the University of Waterloo and a graduate diploma in accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo.
