The new location in Manhattan wants to be a one-stop health and wellness destination for four-legged fur babies.
American pet retailer Petco recently opened a new flagship store in Union Square to replace its pet care center on Broadway.
The 25,000 square feet center will house a wide range of products and services tailored to the complete care of pets.
“Every element is designed to cultivate a seamless experience that nurtures the incredible bond between pets and pet parents, making it a top destination for pet parents worldwide to experience the best in pet health and wellness,” said Justin Tichy, Chief Operating Officer at Petco.
Services
The shop has a curated collection of premium goods, including pet apparel, a portrait service and a selection of accessories, in a design inspired by the Union Square farmer’s market.
The location will offer a full-service veterinary hospital, a barbershop with grooming services, dog self-wash stations and an in-store kitchen that provides human-grade pet meals.
Petco also announced the addition of dog training and an indoor park to support social, mental, and physical health for pets.
The new store combines classic New York City design, including various architectural elements, such as exposed brick, herringbone wood floors and fixtures made with reclaimed materials.
