The pet health and wellness company also named Donald Young as Chief Sales Officer.
The Florida-based company has promoted Robert Sauermann to Chief Operating Officer. Sauermann has been serving as the Executive Vice President of Strategy & Finance since December 2019 and has also served on the board of Halo Elevate, Better Choice super-premium pet food line.
In addition, he has worked at Pegasus Capital Advisors, where he deployed $100 million of growth equity capital across various sectors, with a particular focus on animal health and wellness.
Donald Young, who joined Better Choice in early 2021 as Vice President of Sales for Halo, has been promoted to the company’s Chief Sales Officer.
He has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, leading the sales organizations of several pet specialty and pet food brands.
Michael Young, Chairman of the Board, stated that they have a “true passion” for the business as well as “exceptional leadership.”
“Both of their contributions have been invaluable to not only driving the growth of the business, but also creating a great company culture for our employees,” he added.
