The multinational business magazine recognizes the veterinarian company’s positive social impact through business practices.
The New Jersey-based company was ranked 20th out of 50 companies on the list, including names like PayPal, Alibaba, JD.com, and Walmart.
Zoetis’ inclusion is based on the company’s African Livestock Productivity and Health Advancement initiative, which helps enhance veterinary care in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The company’s initiative was created five years ago to improve access to a range of vaccines, medicines, and diagnostic services.
“Being recognized by Fortune is a proud moment for Zoetis and affirms the impact we can have by living our purpose to nurture the world and humankind by advancing animal care,” said Zoetis VP Jeannette Ferran Astorga.
Zoetis recently completed the acquisition of Australian veterinary company Jurox in a bid to expand to new markets.
