About Trigea

Trigea’s wheat ingredients allow producers to combine functionality with profitability, while meeting consumer demand for highly nutritional products from a sustainable source. They enhance texture, stability and nutritional profile, while ensuring an attractive appearance. The ingredients also help with swelling, solidifying, thickening, gelling and binding in the end product, thus maximising its overall appeal. As a sustainable source of protein and carbohydrates, wheat has a high nutritional value and contributes to a balanced, natural diet for pets.

Tailor-made solutions

As a long-standing partner for the pet food industry, the Crespel & Deiters Group offers comprehensive R&D services. It provides innovative solutions that meet current consumer trends, as well as individual specifications. All products meet the highest certification standards, are free from chemicals and are not genetically modified. Stringent quality assurance measures throughout the supply chain ensure that all upstream processes are assessed by means of a HACCP system, and potential risks regarding chemical, physical and microbiological contamination are minimised.

Sustainability

Wheat has been cultivated since around 7,000 BC, making it one of the oldest crops. It is a model candidate for quality standards and environmentally friendly processes.

Through joint production, i.e. the manufacture of different products from an initial substance, the renewable raw material can be completely utilised. Regional sourcing allows transport routes and emissions to be kept low, and supply chains to be secured. The Crespel & Deiters Group processes about 307,000 tons of wheat per year. This natural non-GMO product comes 100% from the EU – at least 75% of which is grown in Germany. Thanks to long-standing contractual partnerships with farmers and reliable warehousing, the Crespel & Deiters Group secures a seamless supply.

One raw material – many possibilities

Wheat owes its success to its high functionality. After many years of research and the use of innovative technology, Crespel & Deiters has been able to develop highly specialised solutions for a wide range of applications in the pet food industry: from wet, semi-moist and dry feed to snacks and chewing bones. Sold under the product name Trigovit®, Trigea’s portfolio includes product lines with different functionalities based on wheat starches, wheat proteins, pregelatinised wheat flours and functional blends.
