New top management roles at Instinct Pet Food
Gordon Dumesich takes on the mantle of CEO while Neil Thompson moves into the chairman position.
The Missouri-based raw pet food maker has promoted Neil Thompson to chairman after leading the CEO role for 4 years.
As chairman, Thompson will look to bolster external relationships further and will continue to be a board member of Agrolimen’s subsidiary, Affinity Petcare, a Spanish pet food supplier.
Under his past tenure, the company “significantly strengthened” its financial standing and invested more than $100 million (€95M) in its Center of Excellence production unit in Nebraska. He also enabled Instinct to invest in a “scientific discovery process” to measure the advantages of raw feeding with the University of Helsinki.
Gordon Dumesich fills his shoes now after serving as the company’s chief growth and marketing officer for 4 years.
Dumesich was responsible for creating a “highly cohesive and effective commercial team,” which has been crucial in producing “consistent strong double-digit growth” as well as contributing to “ever-increasing market shares.”
