Petbuddy Group appoints Paul van der Raad as CEO

Petbuddy Group AB, a premium pet care company headquartered in Stockholm, has announced the appointment of Paul van der Raad as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective January 2025.

With nearly 3 decades of experience in the global pet industry, the new CEO is set to lead the company into its next phase, focusing on innovation, sustainability and expanding market reach.

Leadership experience

Van der Raad has displayed a results-driven approach and dynamic leadership style through various roles held across his career. His expertise spans multiple functions, including sales, marketing, finance, human resources, production, research and development, product management, procurement, logistics and quality assurance.

Most recently, he served as the Global Director of New Business Development at Protix, an insect protein ingredient company.

He has also served as CEO of 2 Danish companies, Henne Pet Food and Vital Petfood Group, where he contributed significantly to their financial improvements and established a culture of ownership and accountability.

With experience with both private-label and branded products and private equity and family-run businesses, van der Raad is uniquely equipped to navigate the evolving landscape of pet care.
