The company’s new strategic logistics site of 26,500 m2 will be located near the capital Kraków.
The project includes the purchase of an independent site and the construction of a modern built-to-suit warehouse.
It will be adjacent to Royal Canin’s existing facility, which has been producing its dry formulations portfolio for most of the European markets since 2008. The facility now serves 24 European and Asian countries.
According to Agnieszka Sadowska, Supply Chain Director at Royal Canin Polska, the current steadily growing demand for their products is having an impact in the manufacturer’s storage capacity needs in Poland, that “will soon reach the limits”.
“The new warehouse is designed to serve operation in a strategic horizon considering the growth of volumes and new capabilities or routes to market”, she explained to GlobalPETS.
The construction of the site is planned to end in October 2022, with operations starting in December this year.
