Geoffroy Lefebvre replaces Cornelius Patt, who has been the German company’s CEO since 2006.
The zooplus Supervisory Board commented that the new CEO has already proved to be a “pure play e-commerce and digital brand building experience” in his former roles.
“Together with him and the zooplus team across Europe, we will further strengthen the company’s category leadership, consumer proposition, and brand,” said Stefan Goetz and Johannes Reichel on behalf of the Board.
Geoffroy Lefebvre, an Engineer born in France, said that zooplus is “in a unique position today to pursue an accelerated growth trajectory.”
“The dedication to pets and to serving our customers ever more conveniently has always been at the heart of zooplus,” he added.
Luxury goods industry
Before joining the online pet platform, Geoffroy served as CEO at Yoox Net A Porter, an online luxury fashion retailer headquartered in Milan.
He also lived in Switzerland for 11 years, where he held a range of leadership positions within companies in the field of luxury watches.
Geoffroy will assume his new role within zooplus on 31 October 2022
