AO World appointed Pritchard as an independent non-executive director from 1 October 2022. He will continue performing his duties in the Italian pet retailer.
The ex-Pets at Home CEO will be a member of the company’s Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee.
AO World Board Chairman, Geoff Cooper, said he brings “a strong mix of knowledge of consumer-focused businesses, as well as experience in transforming businesses.”
Since June 2022, Pritchard has served as chairman of Italian pet retailer Arcaplanet. The company told GlobalPETS that “he is free to take a position on any other board, as long as it’s not a competitor.”
Peter Pritchard joined British retailer Pets at Home in 2011 as Commercial Director and became company CEO in 2018.
