Natoo displays strength as a climate action leader and reinforces its commitment to sustainability.
Pet food manufacturer Natoo has announced it is joining the Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC) as a Champion level member.
“Sustainable practices have always been and will always be a key part of our DNA, which is why we’re proud to join the Pet Sustainability Coalition,” says Fernando Maluf, VP of International Sales.
Under its parent company PremieRpet, Brazil’s first premium pet food producer, Natoo has solidified its presence as a climate action leader. The company recently invested in the largest solar-powered facility in São Paulo to produce its signature biscuits, meal toppers and treats.
In April 2023, PremieRpet became Brazil’s first pet food company to make a full shift to solar energy across all its plants. Its facility was the first pet food factory in Latin America to be recognized with Gold certification from the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program.
Natoo also takes pride in using rainwater and reforested eucalyptus trees to generate thermal energy for manufacturing operations. The company additionally manages all residue generated in the production process and performs reverse logistics to create a benchmark for sustainability in pet food.
