The Swiss equipment manufacturer will expand its innovative solutions for pet food from 2024.
The Swiss Bühler Group has announced an investment of more than CHF 10 million ($/â¬10M) in a new Grain Innovation Center located at its headquarters in Uzwil, in the Canton of St. Gallen.
The new center is set to replace the existing facility from the 1950s, which will be partly demolished and rebuilt.
âMost of the machines developed in the milling sector over the past 70 years have been at least partially tested here in the application center,â commented Stefan Birrer, Head of Business Area Milling Solutions.
The food machinery manufacturer will develop, test and scale-up “sustainable and efficient solutions for the processing of grain and pet food” from raw materials to finished products, stated the company.
The renovated technology center will include an integrated cleaning and milling process for all cereals, a milling process for all types of compound feeds, and an R&D department.
