Revolutionary, plant-based products

The feed products available in the market at the time the company was founded, did not match the specific needs of small mammals, from a strictly nutritional-physiological point of view.

It was Helga Ostermann’s aim, the founder of Bunny, to offer a healthier alternative. She managed to create a revolutionary, plant-based feed matching the animals’ original habitats and nutritional needs.

Sensory perfection

At Bunny everything is focused on achieving sensory perfection for rabbits and rodents.

One major innovation has been the creation of the TriMello pellet. These pellets contain a balanced and healthy combination of nutrients, trace elements and vitamins and are compressed in such a way that they support vital dental abrasion. One particular basic feature is that feed should be freely available to the animals. This makes their products particularly convenient for busy pet owners, who can leave feed in their pet’s cage at all times.

Setting the trend

The company is a guarantee for holistic small mammal concepts which delight the trade, consumers and animals alike, and repeatedly sets new trends.

Successful concepts such as BunnyBedding, BunnyInteractive or hay from nature conservation meadows have been launched over the years. All product developments have the aim to strengthen animal health and to protect nature.

Internationalisation – forging ahead

More recently, the company has taken significant steps onto the international market. Under the leadership of the managing director, Oliver Petzoldt, the company has booked numerous successes outside its home market of Germany.

The company is now active in 23 countries, also outside of the European Union. Internationalisation will continue to be a major focus over the coming years, in addition to further innovative, trend-setting product concepts.
