High demand for preventive healthcare encouraged Chewy to continue the brick-and-mortar expansion of its veterinary services to Atlanta, the sixth-largest metropolitan region in the US.
The practices in Dunwoody and Sandy Springs have integrated Chewy’s online pharmacy and around-the-clock customer service with veterinary care.
“We are delivering a seamless, omnichannel experience that ensures pet parents have easy access to a full spectrum of care, from virtual health guidance to a wide array of in-practice services,” a company spokesperson tells GlobalPETS.
According to an internal Chewy survey, 62% of pet parents in Atlanta considered preventive healthcare the top priority for their companions compared to the national average of 46%.
Plans for 2024
These 2 practices are some of the first in a series of locations to open across the US by December.
Chewy last reported plans to open 4–8 new centers by the end of 2024.
The company says it has been the “most significant healthcare expansion to date” following the opening of its first practice in South Florida.
