Janet Carter Smith takes on the new position and will play a critical role in boosting the Florida-based pet food distributor’s growth.
Smith has more than 25 years of experience leading growth, building roadmaps, and executing operational plans in sales, marketing, and retail excellence.
Rob Emery, CEO of Choice Pet Products, said that Smith brings the “right strategic direction” and a “strong passion for results” to the company as it aims to grow and build a strong brand.
In her new role, she will develop and expand the company’s sales, logistics, and operations departments.
“The opportunity to be part of this growing, dynamic business provides an exciting next chapter for me,” Smith said.
Previous roles
Janet Carter Smith is passionate about animals and founded the animal rescue group Friends 4 Life, which she has managed for over 10 years.
Prior to joining Choice Pet Products, she served for nearly 2 years as General Manager at Nelsons, a manufacturer of natural healthcare products.
Her stints also include positions at Kantar, Mölnlycke Health Care, Sundial Brands, and GlaxoSmithKline.
