Greg Pearson will replace John Howe in the leadership of the Missouri-based pet nutrition company.
Chewy’s former head of marketing has taken over the reins at Compana Pet Brands, bringing in “a wealth of experience in pet products.”
According to the company, Greg Pearson “is a seasoned and proven executive with deep experience leading and transforming consumer businesses.”
“Greg’s deep experience in consumer-packaged goods and in the pet category specifically, including his exceptional track record in building great consumer brands and the operations that support them, will be invaluable as we continue to scale the business and capitalize on both organic and inorganic growth opportunities,” said Katy Dickson, Director on Compana’s board.
Pearson said he looks forward to “working closely with the board and the talented team at Compana to execute its strategic plan and build on the company’s strong momentum.”
Prior to joining the pet company, he acted as CEO of Pretzels from March 2019 to September 2022. His pet industry experience includes a 3-year tenure at Chewy, where he created the retailer’s private brands.
