Igor Arbanas takes over from Christian Kolarik, who has been promoted to CEO of the Austrian firm.
Arbanas succeeds Kolarik as president of the company’s flexible packaging segment. His values of hard work, all-around entrepreneurship, attention to customer needs, and collaboration are said to “align” with the company’s standards.
Speaking about his recent appointment, he said he is looking forward to contributing to the development of the business. “Finding smart solutions to big challenges has always appealed to me. I am very happy to join a company committed to a ‘No Waste’ sustainability strategy unique to the industry.”
Prior to Coveris, Arbanas was CEO of a Swiss-based manufacturer of flexible packaging, the Aluflexpack Group, for 9 years. He holds degrees in electrical engineering and computer science and a Master’s in Electrical and Laser Engineering.
He was also responsible for IT infrastructure at the German pharmaceutical firm Boehringer Ingelheim.
