Daka Sarval collects category 3 raw materials from slaughterhouses approved by the Danish veterinary authorities and processes it into high-quality ingredients. The ingredients are sold to pet food producers worldwide, ranging from small local producers to the industry’s market leaders.

The Danish pig meat industry is recognised worldwide for its food safety, quality and animal welfare and one of the focal points is keeping the use of antibiotics to an absolute minimum.

Denmark is among the world’s largest pig meat exporters with a yearly output of 28 million high quality pigs, exported to more than 140 countries. This means that the potential for high quality single species raw materials for pet food ingredients is indisputable.

The company advocates a 100% transparent and traceable supply chain, tested and proven through decades of experience in handling animal raw materials.

All raw materials are transported by Daka Sarval trucks to one of two production facilities in Denmark. This reduces transit times and allows the processing to be as fast as possible ensuring consistent high-quality ingredients.

All ingredients produced by the company are processed in accordance to ISO 9001/2008 standards. Blood meal and plasma products comply with GMP+ and, in addition, plasma products are ISO 22000 approved. Production processes are monitored with sensor technology ensuring that the ingredients are produced under optimum conditions.
