Effeffe Pet Food has been producing food for dogs and cats since 1987, with a focus on private label and co-manufacturing. Ever since its establishment, the company goes by the motto: “Your brand on our commitment.”
Production plant
Effeffe’s main and largest factory is based in Pieve Porto Morone, 65 km south of Milan, and accommodates the headquarter as well as a brand new Quality and Research Centre. In addition, Effeffe has entered into a joint venture in another plant, which is focused on organic and special productions. The plant’s total capacity is around 90,000 tonnes, making Effeffe one of the biggest and most modern pet food company in Europe.

Own brands
Thanks to its expertise, the company was able to establish PROGRAMMA BENESSERE 360.
PROGRAMMA BENESSERE 360 is a complete super premium range of products to satisfy the nutritional needs of dogs throughout their life cycle. The range includes the 1+1 concept: unique source of protein and unique source of carbohydrates with innovative combinations to give pets an extended choice to face potential allergen problems.
In recent years the company has launched NO LOGO®, an organic products range to symbolise a return to nature, to a time where humans had not yet introduced chemicals and genetic manipulation in their food.
Certification
CCPB S.r.l., an agency that certifies organic agriculture products destined for various international markets, has certified NO LOGO products, which now hold all necessary authorizations and accreditations in the USA, Japan and many other countries. The packaging used is 100% eco-friendly and biodegradable and compostable.
Collaboration
Effeffe has an internal formulation development unit where nutritionists study customized propositions. The company has an on-going collaboration with the University of Bologna to optimize the nutritional standards of its products.
Thanks to this collaboration, Effeffe is in the process of launching its new veterinary dietetic range, which is currently being tested at the University of Bologna for palatability and digestibility through certified external structures, which guarantees reliable and independent results.
Future outlook
Effeffe’s ambition is to increase its market share on international markets and to develop the competitive positions of its brands in addition to becoming a leader in the European private label market, proposing as a business partner consultant.
The company’s products are exported to the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Serbia, Macedonia, Greece, Cyprus, Georgia and Israel. Effeffe is also expanding into Turkey where the company has established an office and warehouse.
