Top designers
The design corner is linked to GlobalPETS Forum Asia (GPFA), where ‘Branding and design – an ideal opportunity to stand out’ will be highlighted as part of the forum’s main theme. Top designers from all over the world will be keynote speakers at GPFA. As an extra benefit for exhibitors, the CIPS Design Corner will offer consulting services for brands and manufacturers. During face-to-face talks with international designers, they can be given advice on brand design solutions.
Ildoppiosegno Design Studio, Italy
Carlo Dameno and Monica Ferrigno of Ildoppiosegno Design Studio in Milan, Italy, will be contributing, together with their design strategist Lorenzo Gecchelin, who has a long-standing track record in providing design and branding solutions for Italian pet manufacturers. They will be the keynote speakers at GlobalPETS Forum Asia on 13 November.
This top Italian studio makes an ongoing study of the latest industry trends, new materials and new technologies, and creates business solutions and concept implementations which extend to the creation of models based on technical and functional content. Product design focuses on pet supplies and household items.
In the past eight years, they have achieved a lot in pet design, with clients ranging from Bayer to United Pets. It is one of the few design studios in the world that creates design dedicated to pets.
Analysis for future gain
Monica and Lorenzo can be consulted by exhibitors and visitors to gain insights on improving branding strategy and product design. The designers’ approach is practical. First, they make an analysis of the company’s products, which often includes their booth at the show. This analysis gives them a ‘picture’ of the company which will highlight pain points and gain points. The results of the first survey will help the company decide what strategic action to take in the future.
The designers also provide a positioning chart of the most well-known brands on the market. This helps the company to easily identify possible competitors, partners and areas of business development.
