Jampy, an Italian pet wellness startup, recently closed a €1 million ($1.08M) pre-seed investment round led by European fund 360 Capital and 3 angel investors.
The capital injection is expected to help the company in its product development as it strives to raise the local market’s quality and sustainability standards of dog care products.
With 8 products in its portfolio, Jampy is known for its plant-based supplements and natural beauty line for pets. The brand is also developing new nutrition and hygiene segment products.
“We are redefining the category by developing 100% meat-free supplements packed with superfoods and incorporating the highest level of active ingredients in the formula,” Co-Founder Rosa Scelsa tells GlobalPETS, adding that the company’s grooming products are also hypoallergenic and “developed following human-grade standards.”
Distribution and retailing capabilities
The capital injection is also expected to help Jampy expand its online and offline channel distribution. “For 2024, we are focusing on product expansion to complete the offer by covering all dogs’ health goals and strategic partnerships to increase distribution and brand awareness in Italy and abroad”, highlights Scelsa.
Though present in high-end Italian pet stores, Jampy is seeking distribution and retail partners for its targeted markets.
The company’s strategy has been to maintain a unique price positioning and plastic-free packaging that is “unmatched” in Italian and foreign markets.
