Christoph Heyn played an active role in the omnichannel transformation of the Swedish multinational.
Christoph Heyn will take up his new role as Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at Mars Petcare on 27 November.
The multinational says it is excited to have Heyn on board with his “impressive track record of digital transformation at scale across retail, hospitality and financial services industries.”
“Christoph’s unique leadership experience in consumer-facing technology across a variety of relevant industries will bring huge value to both our business and pet owners,” says Leonid Sudakov, President of Growth, Digital & Platforms at Mars Petcare.
Commenting on his appointment, Heyn says he is excited to join the team and help “revolutionize the role digital plays in making pet ownership simpler and more joyful.”
The hire comes a few days after Mars Petcare announced the appointment of Najoh Tita-Reid as its new Chief Brand & Experience Officer.
Leadership roles
Heyn worked as Vice President of Digital at IKEA for the past 4 years. During his tenure, he was responsible for transforming the business from a “store-based retail model into an omnichannel business.”
The new CDO has also held the role of Head of Product and Digital Servicing at financial services Capital One in the US.
His other roles include working in the hospitality industry for Marriott International and The Ritz, where he was Head of Product.
