Nor-Feed will keep the autonomy of its research and development (R&D), production, and sales network.
This takeover is part of Adisseo Group’s global approach to offering specialty feed ingredients on different technologies.
With this move, the company wants to position itself in a new light to market sustainable and natural specialty ingredients for pet diets and post an annual growth of about 10%.
Nor-Feed creates and distributes plant-based components and plant extracts for animal nutrition. The company was founded 20 years ago by Pierre and Cecile Chicoteau and will continue to run independently, led by Olivier Clech and Pierre Chicoteau.
Synergies
Both companies have already identified collaborations to reinforce and improve the “penetration and adoption” of natural products in “very high growth markets” where Adisseo is well-recognized.
Adisseo will provide Nor-Feed the advantage of all its “expertise and network to help achieve its objectives and implement the synergies identified.”
“The demand for botanical additives in animal nutrition is growing each year. We have experienced an average annual growth of more than 20% over the last 11 years, driven by our solutions to offset oxidative stress or manage coccidia risk,” said Olivier Clech, Co-Director at Nor-Feed.
