The company will incorporate Astrapet’s 4 shops into its existing portfolio.
The Pet Family Group announced its acquisition of Astrapet after integrating operations on 4 October. The 31-year-old business is an award-winning small-chain pet product retailer.
Under the new partnership, Astrapet’s stores will retain their branding and continue to provide independent advice and strong customer service.
However, the addition of Astrapet’s 4 stores—Natural World Pets’ stores in Leicester and Northampton and K9 by Natural World’s stores in Newark-on-Trent and Northamptonshire—will expand Pet Family Group’s reach to 151 pet retail stores, 40 dog grooming spas, a veterinary business, and a diverse array pet foods and accessories.
“Like Pets Corner, Scott Hendry’s business Natural World and K9 has been built on a culture of caring and knowledgeable staff selling the best products. I’m truly excited to share our products with them and learn from those they work with to continue their successful trading,” says Dean Richmond, CEO of the Pet Family Group
A spokesperson informed GlobalPETS that there will be no major operational changes apart from “sharing existing Pet Family products with Astrapet and integrating some of their best sellers into Pets Corner.”
Under its parent company, Pet Family, Pets Corner recently announced its expansion into Belgium and the US.
