PETKIT is a high-tech company dedicated to creating all sorts of high-end smart products for pets. Founded in Shanghai, China in 2013, the company has rapidly developed into a leading technology firm in the pet industry. Thanks to the major developments in mobile internet, sensor technology, cloud computing and big data, it has become easier than ever to create innovative products.
Facilitating innovation
Innovation is PETKIT’s core business activity. Not for nothing, the company’s slogan is ‘start something new for pets.’ The company uses the latest technology to create innovative and affordable products for pets and their owners.
PETKIT believes in a healthy degree of transparency. Their technology is available to manufacturers. Also, technology ‘whiz kids’ are encouraged to use the technology to create innovative products for pets. With this concept the company strives to expand the number of high-tech products for pets. By making the technology widely available, PETKIT provides manufacturers with the opportunity to turn their traditional products into smart products with relative ease and in an affordable manner.
Innovation becomes more accessible to manufacturers, through the products of PETKIT. The company hopes that others will jump on the bandwagon of innovation in this rapidly changing world.
Products
PETKIT P a fitness and analysis device The PETKIT P2 is a fitness and activity monitor for pets. The product is a small device, snapped onto the pet’s collar, that records its activity level. Through cloud computing technology, the activity data will be analysed and translated to calorie consumption information, pet health index and mood index. This enables pet owners to gain a better understanding of the physical and mental condition of their pet(s), which eventually will contribute towards a better relationship between pets and their owners.
PETKIT Mate a remote monitoring and interactive device Mate is a new product designed for remote pet monitoring and interaction. Like every other remote monitoring device, Mate allows users to communicate with their pets remotely.
Mate has two innovative functions for excellent video and voice performance that allow users to interact with their pets.
- Mate integrates a safety laser pointer, which is a surefire way to attract a pet’s attention. You can look and talk to your pet(s), whilst playing with it using the laser pointer. It supports your efforts to ensure that your pets get enough exercise.
- Mate has the ability to control other devices developed by PETKIT. This function offers exciting possibilities. For example, with the help of Mate, toys and pet feeder can be controlled remotely with the PETKIT app. This means that the thousands of toys available on the market could potentially be vamped up to smart toys using PETKIT’s technology. At present, PETKIT P2 can be controlled remotely via Mate. Through cooperation with manufacturers, PETKIT aims to expand its range of ‘smart products’.
The PETKIT app, all-in-one user interface
Features of the PETKIT app are, among other things, hardware control, social community, and online vet services. Every PETKIT product can be easily controlled with this app. Currently only PETKIT P2 and PETKIT Mate are available in the app.
Darwin system, the cloud brain of PETKIT
The Darwin system is a self-evolution system, by which non-digital products are turned into digital products. The Darwin system creates an individual database for each pet, and with its modelling technology, a pet’s daily activity, habit and diet can be collected and analysed. All the individual data is then converted into big data. After analysing the collected data, the Darwin system provides owners with all kinds of important information about their pet(s), including health, mood and much more.
