Lynn De Proft will lead the Dutch insect supplier's “ambitious” growth trajectory and global expansion plans.
She is expected to drive the company’s planned international expansion and help push Protix to succeed in the next leg of its journey. The plan includes scaling up operations to supply insect ingredients of “consistently high quality” on a global scale.
Protix CEO and Founder Kees Aarts said the team is “delighted” to have Lynn on board.
“With her strategic vision, we will deliver the solid international growth we are now geared up for. Protix is on the verge of changing the global perception of insect-based ingredients.”
She brings over 20 years of professional experience with her career spanning diverse markets, industries, and countries.
Prior to joining Protix, De Proft was Chief Procurement Officer and President of Solvay Energy Services, a Belgian chemical firm.
Before that, she spent 10 years in executive roles in strategy, operations, M&A, and procurement at the multinational drink and brewing company Anheuser-Busch InBev.
De Proft holds an MSc in Aeronautical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology and an MBA from the Vlerick Business School.
