Jean Grunenwald has been appointed to lead the section from 1 October 2023.
Nestlé confirmed to GlobalPETS that Purina Petcare Europe has created a new Eastern European region covering Central and Eastern Europe and Southeastern Europe.
Jean Grunenwald, who has been operating as the regional business head of Nestlé Purina PetCare in Asia, Oceania and Africa (AOA) for the past 4 years, will lead the new division from October.
Grunenwald has more than 3 decades of experience at Nestlé. From 2015 to 2017, he was managing director of Nestlé in Hungary.
Central Europe leadership shift
Hubert Wieser, currently Regional Director of Nestlé Purina PetCare Central Region, will take over Grunenwald’s responsibilities.
Carmen Borsche, Cluster Confectionery Business Executive Officer for Germany and Austria, will lead Nestlé Purina PetCare in the DACH region (Germany, Switzerland and Austria) in her first move into Nestlé’s pet portfolio.
Nestlé says this will make up the new Nestlé Purina PetCare Central Region.
