Suitical International | NETHERLANDS
Pet care is more than just giving your pets treats. It also entails pet comfort, first aid and health care products. Categories that are becoming increasingly important. Suitical International meets pet owners’ demand for these items.
Wound healing without stress
Suitical International’s mission is to ensure the wellbeing and comfort of pets by constantly developing and patenting new and unique high-end products, which aim make a pet’s recovery as comfortable as possible. Its sister company Medical Pet Shirts International (MPS) was established in 2007 and exclusively develops protective and covering MPS for the veterinarian industry in order to help pets recover from wounds without stress.Soon after, the company also added the front leg and hind leg protective covers to the range.
Available for retail
The demand for their items has since skyrocketed worldwide and their products have become one of the standards in health and wound management at veterinarians, breeders and physiotherapists. Since pet owners tend to consult their local store first in case of minor health issues, MPS decided to also make MPS products available to retail.
Coverage of affected areas
Melvin Kok, Managing Director of Suitical International, believes it is better to cover the affected areas, instead of restricting the head, to prevent pets from even touching on their surgical sutures, wounds, hot spots or skin problems. “Our recovery shirt also offers protection for dogs in heat or with light incontinence issues. Our products allow pets to move freely while also protecting them themselves, as well as from animals and children.”
Water-cooled pet vest
The company also sells items that are designed to prevent serious health risks, such as heat stress. Thanks to their high-end applications, Suitical International came up with a solution to this issue by developing the so-called DRY Cooling Vest. This vest has a patented technology that enables it to remain 100% DRY during use without gels or crystals. The cooling functionality is activated by filling the vest with fresh water. The vest can cool up to 15°C (59°F) below ambient air temperature for one to three days. The cooling effect – which immediately starts after filling up – is the result of evaporation.
“We are constantly developing and improving our products to ensure the wellbeing of pets during recovery”, Melvin Kok, “because the less stress pets experience, the quicker they heal.”
