Inspired by the valley from which it gets its name, Dolina Noteci creates pet food in harmony with nature.
A natural home
Dolina Noteci is a pet food production plant located in one of the most beautiful regions in Poland, the Noteć Valley (in Polish: ‘Dolina Noteci’), in the northern part of Greater Poland. It is distinguished by unique landscapes – meadows, oxbow lakes and small hills – and is a real bird kingdom.
In gratitude for the uniqueness of this place, the company does everything it can to be environmentally friendly. It creates food for pets in harmony with nature and bases its activities on ecological principles to protect what is most beautiful around it.
Renewable energy and water
Our planet gives us a lot of opportunities. Renewable energy sources that use the earth’s natural resources are not exhausted and are able to regenerate quickly. The most important thing is that using them does not harm the environment.
One such renewable source is solar energy, which the company uses to power the entire plant. Additionally, the use of LED lighting has reduced energy consumption by 85%. It is another way to implement eco-friendly measures and is an extremely simple, cheap and very effective solution.
For water, the company has its own intakes, which fully cover its demand. Moreover, water used during all technological processes is recovered and used again. Constant monitoring of water consumption allows rational use of the sources.
Emissions and waste reduction
Dog and cat food production employs a gas system to minimise emissions of harmful carbon dioxide and dust into the atmosphere, to reduce the impact on global warming to a minimum. This is confirmed by regular testing.
Recycling is one of the simplest ways to support the environment. Waste segregation takes place from production halls to offices and, thanks to the cooperation with the Packaging Recovery Organisation, packaging waste is recycled and then reused.
Leading edge technology
As one of the most modern pet food production plants in Europe, Dolina Noteci uses innovative technologies to optimise its production processes at every stage. The implementation of PN-EN ISO 14001:2015 system requires proactive measures to protect the environment against contamination and degradation.
