Soft structure, high hydrostability, good digestibility and an abundance of nutrients are the most important qualities of Soft Line aquarium foods by the Polish manufacturer Tropical. Extrusion technology used in their production has made it possible to obtain quality parameters never seen in fish food before.
Digestibility level
Soft Line products assure the aquarist that the fish are receiving a properly composed diet, while the nutrients keep the fish in good shape and support the most important body functions. Thanks to their structure, soft foods are willingly eaten and more easily assimilated by the fish, which means better use of the nutrients provided in the food and fewer impurities in the aquarium.
Product safety is another effect of the technology used by Tropical. The modern extrusion and quality assurance systems used have a positive impact on the sterility of the food. High hydrostability makes the food retain its shape in the water and reduces swelling to a minimum. These foods do not release nutrients into aquarium water and they do not cause turbidity. They are available in three forms: pellets, chips and sticks of different sizes.
Energy and immunity support
The ingredients of the foods have been selected for high nutritional value and their response to the nutritional requirements of fish. The composition of the foods includes specially selected ingredients like herring, the protein of which has an excellent amino-acid profile, and crustaceans rich in carotenoids, omega-3 acids and chitin, as well as insect larvae, which provide a large dose of energy.
The foods contain valuable algae such as spirulina platensis, laminaria digitata, chlorella vulgaris and lithothamnium calcareum, which have a positive effect on digestive tract function. They are also a source of various health-promoting substances. Soft Line foods contain calanus finmarchicus, a planktonic crustacean sourced from the waters of the North Atlantic Ocean. This provides animals with astaxanthin, a protein rich in exogenous amino acids and unsaturated fatty acids, including omega-3. These soft foods increase fish immunity, thanks to ingredients such as natural immune stimulators – beta-glucan, garlic, prebiotics contained in algae, and a stabilised form of vitamin C. The high content of carotenoids from krill, calanus finmarchicus and red peppers intensifies the colours of the fish, while fibre (including fruit fibre) and crustacean chitin regulate digestion.
A wide choice
The Soft Line consists of fifteen products dedicated to particular species of fish and fish from specific continents. America and marine products come in versions S, M and L, while africa foods are available in two variants – herbivore and carnivore – tailored to the specific nutritional requirements of fish living in African waters. Each of these two variants is available in sizes S and M. The Soft Line range also includes arowana products, available in version L and XXL, along with the latest novelties in Soft Line: asia in sizes S and M, and betta (mini granulate for fighting fish and other small anabantoidei species). Based on the concept of soft foods, Tropical has also created reptile products: reptiles herbivore and reptiles carnivore.
