The facility in Mornac, that currently belongs to the Neodis Group, is expected to strengthen the position of the Belgian company as a full-service private label pet food producer.
The Belgian producer believes that this development will offer them new opportunities for growth and synergy in a fast-moving market.
The Neodis factory has been producing dry pet food for both dogs and cats since 1976 and employs around 50 people.
With the addition of this new facility, the pet food producer now operates 20 pet food facilities in 8 different European countries. The takeover is in line with the strategy of United Petfood to reinforce and grow the business.
