Houchens Industries acquired Feeders Pet Supply and its 58 locations across 6 states.
Houchens Industries has announced the acquisition of pet specialty retailer Feeders Pet Supply.
Houchens CEO Dion Houchins said the company is “excited to invest in the growing pet retail segment.” He added that being headquartered in Louisville is also beneficial as it “supports Houchens’ growth strategy” in their home state of Kentucky.
According to the CEO of Feeders Pet Supply, Brannon Dixon, Houchens provides “long-term capital that is critical to achieving future growth plans.”
“We are aligned on the strategic initiatives to expand and enhance not only our retail footprint but our service offerings to customers.”
Feeders Pet Supply has been operating for over 60 years selling pet food, supplies, and services through 58 brick-and-mortar locations across 6 states in the US, including Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio.
In addition to its physical stores, it has an e-commerce platform that caters to its loyal customers, whose numbers are fast approaching 1 million, according to the company estimations.
