The UK company, selling its products online at Amazon, will now be available in the organic supermarket chain.
South Carolina-based pet marketing firm Only An Ocean will facilitate Hownd products distribution in select US Whole Foods Market stores. It is the first time the company is retailing products in “large multiple retailers” in the US.
Hownd has been present in the country for a while now, selling products on Amazon “primarily to smaller independent” stores.
Cheryl Pedersen, Co-Founder at Only An Ocean, said, “We are thrilled to work with Whole Foods Market by including Hownd in their pet care segment for 2023. This market expansion opportunity inspires our company and our brand partner, Hownd, to broaden our vision of making plant-based products available to a broader audience.”
The pet food brand also aims to expand its footprint in Asia. “We are currently in conversations to supply [our products in] various countries across Asia,” the company confirmed to GlobalPETS.
