The beginning 

It was Leo J. Wahl, the founder of Wahl Clipper Corporation headquartered in Illinois, US, who invented the first electric hair clipper in 1919. When they merged with Wahl GmbH, based in Germany’s Black Forest, in 1996, the merger created one of the largest manufacturers of hair styling appliances for professional hairdressers, animal groomers and consumers. 

Since then the Wahl Clipper Corporation – which, despite having more than 2,500 employees and five production facilities worldwide, is still a family-owned company – has continued the work which Leo J. Wahl first initiated almost a century ago.

Premium quality for high performance

The Wahl® Pro Animal line comprises a broad range of professional corded and cordless animal clippers, detail trimmers as well as blade sets and additional accessories to meet the high demands of professional grooming salons, breeders and veterinarians. 

For the development of new products the company works closely together with grooming experts and ergonomists from all over the world.

The Moser® Animalline consists of a large assortment of corded and cordless clippers designed for sophisticated home use. The range is completed by a comprehensive blade set assortment and a variety of grooming tools to make clipping at home even easier.

The blade set is the core element of every animal clipper and determines the quality of clipping work as well as the cutting performance. In over 90 years of continuous dialogue with customers, Wahl has developed blade sets which are particularly efficient in removing the coat.

Customer service makes the difference

To stand out from the competition Wahl makes customer service a top priority. The company has customer service points worldwide to satisfy customer needs and respond promptly to requests. It also has its own sales offices in France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Russia and Germany. 

All products for Europe, the Middle East and Africa are developed at Wahl in Germany and produced in the company’s state-of-the-art production plants in Germany and Hungary. The company’s success and excellent reputation are built on continuous innovation and certified quality. Each clipper’s cutting performance is fully tested before leaving the warehouse.
