History
The company is home to a family of premium pet food brands, including Wellness., Old Mother Hubbard., Eagle Pack. and Holistic Select.. Its history goes back to 1926, when Old Mother Hubbard Natural Dog Treats was founded. After the introduction, early 1980’s, of Eagle Pack, a high nutrition pet food for working dogs, and the launch in 1997 of Wellness, a leading pioneer in natural pet food, the Berwind family acquired both companies in 2007 and 2008. In 2009 the WellPet company was formed, currently a natural pet food industry leader known for its high qualityand strong innovation.

Wheat, corn, soya, artificial colours, flavours or preservatives are never used.
Leading in innovation
In 2015 WellPet launched TruFood: a new kind of raw-inspired, natural pet food made from whole foods bursting with vital nutrients. The company believes real, fresh foods like delicious whole-prey protein, superfoods and probiotics are the best source of pet health and happiness. Early 2016 WellPet also acquired Sojos, thereby greatly expanding its offering in the raw nutrition category of pet food and treats.
Grain free and protein rich
Now launching in Europe is Wellness CORE, a range of natural ,high protein, low carbohydrate recipes for meat loving-pets. With 45-69% of high quality protein ingredients like turkey and fresh meat as the first ingredient in all dry recipes, all CORE diets have an irresistible taste. The CORE range is completely grain free and naturally hypoallergenic.
