Amazon expands pet supplies in new mobile app with ‘ultra-low prices’

Amazon Bazaar currently operates in 14 markets worldwide and plans to expand further in the coming months. GlobalPETS has more details.

Amazon has been rolling out Amazon Bazaar, a new standalone shopping app offering products priced at $10 (€9.30) or below, in various markets since November 2025.

The service is currently available in Hong Kong, the Philippines, Taiwan, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Nigeria. This year, the platform expects to launch in additional markets.

The launch follows the launch in late 2024 of Haul, Amazon’s dedicated platform for ultra-low-priced products.

Pet portfolio

Through Amazon Bazaar, pet owners can order a range of supplies online, including food bowls, clothing, nail clippers, leashes, training products, feeding mats, bells and grooming equipment.

Pet food and treats are not yet available on the app, but Freddy Choliere, Corporate Communications Manager for APAC at Amazon, told GlobalPETS that the platform will continue to expand its selection on Amazon Bazaar based on customer feedback.

The service supports six languages, including English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German and Traditional Chinese, as well as local currency options. Aside from pet supplies, the app also offers products across fashion, home and lifestyle categories.

The launch was supported by “positive response” from shoppers in Amazon Haul, the pilot initiative in the US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan and Australia. Both Haul and Bazaar “deliver the same ultra-low-price shopping,” the company says, but different names were chosen to “better resonate with local language preferences and cultures.”

‘Go-to’ shopping destination

According to McKinsey & Company’s State of the Consumer 2025 report, more than 90% of consumers in China and the United States shopped at an online-only retailer between April and May 2025, while about 80% did so in Germany and the United Kingdom.

Of these, more than one-third of consumers across all 4 markets identified Amazon or Taobao as their go-to shopping destination for most of their needs. The findings are based on a survey of 2,838 consumers conducted from 23 April to 6 May 2025.

A survey by the marketing automation platform Omnisend, with 4,000 respondents in the US, UK, Canada and Australia, showed that nearly 9 out of 10 consumers in the first 3 countries trust the American e-commerce company, a number that drops to 6 out of 10 in Australia. The survey was conducted in April 2024.

In its latest financial report, Amazon saw a 10% increase in online store sales year over year, reaching $67.4 billion (€62.7B).
