Beeztees invests and restructures in order to grow with Karlie in the German market

In recent months, parent company Beeztees has used the Corona period to accelerate the preparation of the planned restructuring at subsidiary Karlie GmbH in Germany. An intervention that is necessary to be able to continue the realized growth in turnover of recent years, coupled with better growth in profitability, ‘says Jacco Buijs, Commercial Director Beeztees / Karlie. ‘

‘Since the acquisition in 2017, we have invested a lot in Karlie with an eye to the future, thanks to loyal customers and a very strong team, our turnover has grown considerably’, but our return did not grow with the old agreements that were still linked to the acquisition in 2017 ”.

We have seized this restructuring to get rid of these old agreements. This way we can continue with a healthy and profitable company after the restructuring. From day 1 we have confided in our partners about our plans. As a result, there is understanding for the choices made and there is confidence to go into the future with Karlie ”, says Job van Riel, owner Beeztees / Karlie.

What does the restructuring look like?

Karlie GmbH will continue as an independent organization in Germany. A large sales and marketing team remains the old and trusted point of contact for customers, both on the DACH market and for export. In addition, order intake and invoicing will continue to take place from Karlie GmbH in Germany. Where possible, each department looks at where the synergy with parent company Beeztees can be intensified. Everything with the aim of further optimizing cooperation with customers.

In terms of efficiency, the most radical change is the closure of the warehouse in Germany; the entire logistics operation will take place from the central warehouse in the Netherlands / Waalwijk on 1 December. For this, Beeztees has opened a new warehouse for bulk storage, order picking of all products will continue to take place from the current warehouse.

So what does this restructuring mean for Karlie’s future?

The Karlie team can focus 100% on the cooperation with customers and opportunities in the market and further benefit from all underlying services of the parent company Beeztees.

When it comes to assortment, there are also more options. “Although Karlie remains our main brand for Germany, customers there now also have the opportunity to order even more and easier products from the entire Beeztees and Designed by Lotte range.” said Guusje van Riel, owner Beeztees / Karlie and responsible for purchasing and product development. The restructuring will only increase the focus on product development for Karlie as well. The first previews can already be seen in the recently newly released Karlie catalog.
