Bereavement in the house of Dr.Clauder

Alwin Hübers, the founder of the family business Dr.Clauder, has passed away at the age of 82.

Alwin Hübers grew up in Germany. After several years of professional activity, in the field of animal feed production, he started his own business.

All the years before, he had acquired his knowledge from scratch in his parents’ company “Rheinkrone Kraftfutter Werk Gebrüder Hübers”. With energy, great commitment and always new ideas, he expanded his first own small business in the pet food sector in the following years.

With his entrepreneurial creativity, down-to-earth attitude and humanity, he continuously developed the company and left a lasting footprint. Alwin Hübers shaped the German pet industry like hardly anyone else. His know-how and business acumen led several, now well-known companies to independent production.

After the takeover in 2006 by Alexander Gerards and Alwin’s son Malte Hübers, his life’s work is a globally active, medium-sized company with about 100 employees today.

Alwin Hübers was outgoing, very committed and was always a good contact person, colleague and friend to everyone. He always had an open ear for his employees, whom he also helped in private matters not infrequently.

As a passionate hunter, he enjoyed the hours on the hunting grounds. The tuba and parforce horn player also shared the joy of brass music with his club colleagues of the Isselburg brass orchestra at a young age. His social and charitable commitment was evident in his Rotary work.
